Contribute to Bitcredit
Bitcredit is open source and community-driven. The protocol grows through the contributions of developers, researchers, educators, and organisers around the world.
01 / WHERE THE WORK HAPPENS
Developer community
Bitcredit is a free open source initiative for important reasons. Propose changes or review open proposals on the public GitHub.
GitHubEducator community
Bitcoin educators have done a great job talking to individuals. Now we must start talking to businesses: to CEOs, CFOs, and treasurers.
EventsRun a wildcat
Operators keep the network alive: download the open-source software, join a clowder of self-supervising mints, and compete on fees, service level, and guarantee ratio.
How mints workAttack the reasoning
Real bills, elasticity, reserves, and redemption are claims that deserve adversarial review. Test the argument, publish the critique, extend the model.

Telegram, Discord, X, and Nostr are where proposals get argued out long before they reach a vote. No permission needed, so ask the awkward question.

02 / REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS
Submitting proposals
Propose on GitHub, via the proposal form, or in any sprint meeting. First check the existing ones in the proposal list. A proposal must contain a time estimate and a deliverable; where an estimate is not possible, split it into manageable milestones. Three e‑IOU holders must second it before it can go to a vote.
Time contributions
Record accepted work in the contributions form. Proof of work should be a link to suitable documentation. Best to pre-announce a contribution in the relevant sprint meeting before starting, and to link the deliverable in the sprint meeting protocol when reporting completion. Group organisers present their group’s contributions at their organiser meeting.
Rewards
Accepted contributions are rewarded in e‑IOU, shared out of each quarterly issue. The reward needs approval under Bitcredit governance rules and may entail certain limitations on its utilisation.
Expenses
Expenses incurred on behalf of the project can be reimbursed. Keep a scan or photo of the paid invoice and receipt, and ask in Telegram or Discord where to send them.
